Kao dio pripremne obuke za takmičare ovogodišnjeg Climathon Podgorica, ispred Strategista, Katarina Milačić održala je prezentaciju na temu uloge privatnog sektora u rješavanju klimatske krize. U okviru svog izlaganja, ona je istakla da je očuvanje resursa svakako odgovornost prema društvu, ali i finansijski dugoročno ispravna strategija i neizbježna nužnost.
Aktivno učešće privatnog sektora u odgovoru na klimatsku krizu je od ključnog značaja, a net pozitivni biznisi su budućnost globalne ekonomije. Više nego ikad, važno je da kompanije preuzmu odgovornost za uticaj koji imaju prema životnoj sredini, društvu u kojem posluju i stakeholderima sa kojima sarađuju, dok je spremnost kompanije da se mijenja i prilagođava, čak i kroz odricanja od kratkoročnih zarad dugoročnih rezultata, odlika biznisa koji se orijentiše na budućnost. Neminovnost svakog biznisa je zeleni put, i taj put treba biti utkan u viziju i svrhu svakog biznisa koji želi da postoji u budućnosti. Zabluda je da međunarodne organizacije i države mogu same da vode proces održivog razvoja i odgovora na klimatske promjene, to smo nedavno vidjeli i na COP26 u Glazgovu. Upravo na ovome trenutno radimo sa našim klijentima, podržavajući ih u transformaciji ka zelenom biznisu i prateći ovaj proces komunikativno.
O događaju: Climathon Podgorica 2021, koji je realizovan u organizaciji NVO „Gnijezdo“ 27. i 28. novembra, bio je posvećen poboljšanju kvaliteta života kroz rješavanje problema saobraćaja i nosio je naziv “(S)KRENI ZELENO”. U fokusu ovog eko hakatona bio je odabir deset timova čija održiva, kreativna i izvodljiva rješenja odgovaraju zadatoj temi. Takmičari su mogli da kreireaju bilo koji novi proizvod ili uslugu, softversko rješenje, edukativne programe i sve ono čijim bi uvođenjem Podgorica i Crna Gora poboljšala kvalitet života i svakodnevicu svojih građana.

As a part of the preparatory training for the competitors of this year’s Climathon Podgorica, Katarina Milačić gave a presentation on the role of the private sector in resolving the climate crisis on behalf of Strategist. Addressing the main topic of the presentation “What’s the case for doing business on a dead planet”, she argued that preserving and respecting resources, in addition to having a responsibility towards the society, is a financially sound strategy in the long-run and an inevitable necessity.
The active participation of the private sector in responding to the climate crisis is crucial, and net positive businesses are the future of the global economy. More than ever, it is important for a company to take responsibility for its environmental impact, the society in which it operates and the stakeholders it cooperates with. At the same time, the company’s willingness to change and adapt, even through short-term sacrifices, is a business trait which proves that the company is future-oriented. Green path is inevitabile for every business, and that path should be woven into the vision and purpose for those who want to do any business in the future. The fallacy is that international organizations and states can lead the process of sustainable development and response to climate change on their own, as we recently saw at COP26 in Glasgow. This is something we are currently working on with our clients, supporting them in their green transformation and following this process in terms of communication.
About the event: Climathon Podgorica 2021, organized by the NGO “Nest” on 27-28 November, was dedicated to improving the quality of life by solving traffic problems titled “TURN GREEN”. The focus of this eco hackathon was that ten selected teams find sustainable, creative and feasible solutions which correspond to the given topic. Competitors were able to create a new product or service, software, educational program and other, aiming to improve the quality of everyday life of citizens of Podgorica and Montenegro.
